The iTero Element 2 Scanner
The newest dental technology in our office is a digital scanner, the iTero Element 2. This scanner is one of the most cutting-edge scanners on the market and allows us to take oral images and scans without using dental impressions, which many patients find to be uncomfortable, particularly if they have a sensitive gag reflex.
With the iTero Element 2, a simple scan of your teeth helps us plan treatment for Invisalign, crowns and bridges, implant restorations, full and partial dentures, nightguards, retainers, and more. These quick scans help us provide flexibility and keep you comfortable by avoiding the need for messy dental impressions.

We also have a number of advanced intraoral cameras that we use to diagnose a variety of dental health issues, including cavities. With bright light and magnification, we can spot tooth decay before it progresses, and we can also diagnose potential cases of oral cancer and other oral issues more effectively.
Faster Scans, Lower Waits
Digital X-Rays
We use a digital x-ray unit that can take bitewing x-rays as well as full-mouth panorex x-rays of your entire upper and lower jaw, as well as your temporomandibular joints and sinuses. Digital x-rays are faster than traditional, film-based x-rays, and they also require less radiation. We also have a portable x-ray unit called the Nomad, which allows us to take X-rays just about anywhere without specialized, immobile equipment.

For your convenience, we use paperless forms and charts, and you can get details about your visit online. At Dodds Dental, you’ll never have to deal with complicated forms or paperwork.
